SCS Manufacturing Inc., a Nanaimo, BC-based metal fabrication company, seeks a Quality Control Inspector I to inspect welded assemblies, verify drawings, and ensure compliance with quality standards. You will collaborate with Production and Engineering to resolve defects and support continuous improvement.

Position offers hourly pay and benefits after probation. Candidate should have 2-3 years in manufacturing, read engineering drawings, and operate inspection tools.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or industrial environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.
• Experience using inspection and measuring equipment and tools.

Mansioni

• Perform inspections of welded assemblies, fabricated components, and finished products.
• Verify dimensions, fit-up, material identification, and workmanship against drawings and specifications.
• Conduct receiving inspections of incoming materials and components.
• Monitor fabrication and welding activities for compliance with quality standards.
