As part of #teamBIC, the Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for:

Incoming Inspection:

• Inspect products for proper packaging, UPC seals, correct item information, manufacturing data, shipping damage, and non-conformance issues.
• Check samples of bulk products for appearance, damage, leakage, etc.
• Document inspection reports and keep records of incoming shipments.
• Report non-compliance issues, inform the Manager, and follow procedures for control of nonconforming materials.
• Perform quality inspections on products from outsourced suppliers.

In-process & Final Inspection:

• Perform daily online audits on products in the packaging department, ensuring they meet specific requirements against work orders, NIST, or samples.
• Check all finished products for layout, UPC labels, etc.
• Report quality issues found during process audits or inspections.
• Create processes to control and record batch control.
• Audit the warehouse for stock shelf life, rotation, obsolescence, date codes, and non-conformances.
• Supervise the QC location for non-conforming materials (quarantine).

Requirements:

• Knowledge of ISO or Quality Manufacturing Standards procedures.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Control.
• QA training certification is preferred.
• Experience with measuring instruments and data analysis (Excel).
• Post-college education and/or certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and basic computer skills.
• Experience with QA/QMS software and production packaging machines is a plus but not necessary.
