Job description

Department: Quality Control

Reports to: Supervisor, Manufacturing Quality Control

Location: New Westminster

Your opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As a Quality Control Inspector, your main duty is to ensure Arc’teryx brand integrity by performing quality control inspections on products and raw materials at our manufacturing facility (ARC’One). Your responsibilities include conducting in-line quality inspections, water leakage tests, raw material inspections, and collaborating with quality and production teams to troubleshoot issues.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Manufacturing Quality Control team ensures all products meet Arc’teryx quality standards, aiming to provide a positive customer experience and uphold the brand's integrity.

Core Activities:

  • Familiarize with Arc’teryx product specifications, testing methods, and quality control manuals.
  • Perform water leakage tests on the production line.
  • Conduct in-line inspections for workmanship and defects.
  • Perform quality inspections efficiently to meet daily targets.
  • Record inspection results and complete documentation promptly.
  • Notify supervisors of discrepancies between samples and production results.
  • Collaborate with operators, team leaders, and supervisors to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in projects and tasks such as 5S and housekeeping.

Future Opportunities:

  • Inspect a variety of products including waterproof and non-waterproof garments, harnesses, and technical packs.
  • Inspect raw materials and pre-production processes.
  • Perform quality control in a down filling room environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in quality control or the garment industry.
  • Accurate color perception.
  • Basic English communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Organizational skills and flexibility.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry on tablets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
  • Proactive in identifying root causes and solutions.
  • Ability to balance autonomy and collaboration.

Assets:

  • Knowledge of a second language.
  • Knowledge of Arc’teryx products.
  • Passion for outdoor activities.

Compensation:

$21 - $23 an hour
The starting pay is CAD $21.00 hourly, with potential to reach CAD $23.00 within 12 months after skill assessment. This range reflects base pay only and does not include bonuses or benefits.
