Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Quality / Technical Inspector with a background in marine, naval, aviation, or defence sectors to support inspection, QA, and material management of complex equipment and systems.

You will review technical drawings and QA documentation, inspect incoming materials, assess components for fitness for use or repair, and help resolve non-conformance issues while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience with technical inspection.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply national and international standards.
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC practices.
  • Experience with mechanical, electronic, submarine, or industrial equipment is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • ASQ Certification or similar is an asset.
  • Experience with DRMIS and material management within the Department of National Defence (DND) is highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 18001 is an asset.

Job description

We’re looking for a Quality / Technical Inspector with a background in the marine, naval, aviation, or defence sectors to support the inspection, quality assurance, and material management of complex equipment and systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing technical drawings and QA documentation, inspecting incoming materials, assessing components for fitness for use or repair, and investigating and resolving non-conformance issues. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure materials meet applicable purchase requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and QA documentation

  • Assess used parts, components, and assemblies for fitness for use or repair
  • Investigate, track, and resolve non-conformance issues
