Insight Global is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to support inspection, assessment, and quality control of incoming materials, parts, components, and assemblies for a large naval/shipbuilding program. The successful candidate will perform physical and dimensional inspections, interpret technical drawings, verify conformity against specifications, and ensure inspection tools are properly calibrated.

Insight Global is looking to bring on a QA/QC Inspector to support the inspection, assessment, and quality control of incoming materials, parts, components, and assemblies for a large naval/shipbuilding company. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and hands‑on experience performing physical inspections, taking precise measurements, interpreting technical drawings, and verifying material conformity against applicable specifications and standards. Experience within the marine, aviation, aerospace, mechanical, or industrial sectors is highly valued. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and Quality Assurance (QA) documentation to determine inspection and testing requirements. Perform physical and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, parts, components, and assemblies. Verify dimensions and tolerances using a variety of inspection equipment and tools, including: Calipers Micrometers Thread gauges Ring gauges Other basic precision measurement and inspection instrumentation Confirm that materials and components conform to purchase requirements, technical drawings, specifications, and applicable standards. Perform quality control checks to assess the condition, dimensions, workmanship, and overall conformity of materials. Review material testing requirements and determine appropriate inspection methods based on technical documentation. Identify and assess used or previously installed parts, components, and assemblies to determine their fitness for use, repair, or further assessment. Ensure inspection equipment and measurement tools are appropriately calibrated and suitable for use.
