Quality Control Analyst – Life Sciences / Fine Chemicals

Location: Suffolk, UK

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

A growing fine chemical manufacturer is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Analyst to join its Quality, team. The QC analyst will report into the QC Lead, this role is essential in maintaining high-quality standards through routine and non-routine chemical analysis to support production and research activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct chemical analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using GC, HPLC, FTIR, KF, and titration techniques.
  • Prepare samples, document results
  • Support method development, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with QC, R&D, and production teams to resolve analytical and process issues.
  • Maintain a safe laboratory environment in line with company procedures.
  • Assist with documentation review, including SOPs and technical records.
  • Provide cover for the QC Lead during absence.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with GC, HPLC, FTIR, KF, and titrations.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Word and Excel.
  • 1–2 years of experience in quality control / Analytical chemistry
