As the Quality Clinician you’ll be responsible for delivering education and training programs for health care providers and professionals. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring team members stay up to date on best practice and maintain the necessary skills to provide excellent resident care and services.

About The Role

*This is a 1.0 FTE position within the BC Nurses’ Union

As a Quality Clinician, you will be instrumental in upholding and enhancing care standards through data-driven insights, quality improvement initiatives, and staff education. Your role involves analyzing resident outcomes and practice performance to develop targeted training programs, ensuring compliance with best practices and organizational values.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis & Quality Improvement
    • Analyze resident outcomes and practice performance to guide improvements.
    • Benchmark quality indicators and identify trends to drive change.
    • Lead and evaluate quality improvement initiatives and strategies.
  2. Clinical Audits & Compliance
    • Ensure accuracy in RAI MDS submissions.
    • Conduct clinical audits and report findings to leadership.
  3. Education & Staff Development
    • Develop and facilitate training programs aligned with best practices.
    • Mentor team members and support ongoing learning and orientation.
    • Work closely with regional and community teams to align quality standards.
    • Foster a culture of health, safety, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent is required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • RN or an RPN license in good standing with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Two years’ nursing experience. Long-term care experience is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The Master Collective Compensation outlined in the Provincial BC Nurses Collective Agreement includes competitive vacation allowances, extended health and dental benefits, participation in a municipal pension plan, and access to an employee and family assistance program. Compensation corresponds to the Level 4 RN hourly rate, ranging from $49.20 to $63.47.
