Cerelia Bakery Canada in Mississauga, ON is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure our products meet quality and health standards. You will play a key role in audits, allergen checks, and line inspections to support our growing production.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to work rotational shifts (8–10 hrs) with overtime as needed.
• Team player with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operational inspection on operating equipment in the mixing production before handoff for start-up.
• Monitor production/mixing process and GMP practices.
• Allergen checks on process per HACCP requirements.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits and operational reviews.
• Inspect raw materials and products; report deficiencies to the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Assist in sanitation inspections.
• Check percentage of chemical used and verify critical control points.
• Enforce Non-Nuts/Nuts flow.
• Maintain retain samples and send to third party labs as needed.
• Perform sensory evaluation of all batches before processing.
• Check temperatures of coolers and freezers; monitor humidity.
• Update temperature charts weekly.
• Ensure line workers complete paperwork correctly.
• Verify products meet specifications (weight, packaging date, labels).
• Identify and segregate non-conforming product for QC Hold.
