Job summary

Cerelia Bakery Canada in Mississauga is seeking an experienced R&D Product Manager to translate ingredients, science, and market insights into new bakery products from lab concepts through pilot production to full commercialization.

You will lead cross-functional teams with sales, project management, QA and production, manage shelf life and sensory testing, develop production specs and final recipes, and build ingredient sourcing and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field.
• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in a similar R&D role.
• Experience in New Product Development and commercial food processing, project management, technical report writing, and ingredient sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage new product ideas from lab prototypes to plant trials and full commercialization; develop processing and technical requirements for scale-up.
• Assist in development of new cookie products from concept to launch and post-launch review in collaboration with sales, project management, QA and production.
• Manage product development relationships with internal and external customers; act as innovator and project leader.
• Conduct shelf life, sensory, product performance, and quality attribute testing as part of development.
• Generate new product technical information including production specifications.
• Develop cooking instructions for the products; support regulatory with nutrition facts, allergen labeling.
