Job summary

Richardson International is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for the Portage la Prairie, MB site. The role focuses on ensuring raw materials, in-process blends and finished products meet food safety and quality requirements.

You will collect samples, perform inspections and tests, and record results to support product integrity, with responsibilities including handling certificates of analysis and non-conformances.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Excellent computer, written, documentation and verbal communication skills.
• Must be willing to work day and night shifts, as well as overtime.
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Gather product samples within the manufacturing environment.
• Conduct inspection & testing on finished product according to specifications.
• Analyze product for characteristics such as moisture, weight, water hydration and particle size and apply all test information into the database.
• Initiate, communicate and track all product non-conformances to the specification.
• Create and release certificates of analysis for all customers upon request.
• Collect retained samples and maintain quality & food safety parameters.
• Other duties as assigned
