Job summary

Richardson International is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician at our Portage la Prairie, MB site. You will ensure raw materials, in-process blends and finished products meet food safety and quality requirements.

Responsibilities include sampling in the manufacturing environment, inspecting and testing products, and documenting results. The role requires flexibility for day and night shifts and overtime, with a comprehensive benefits package provided by Richardson.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Excellent computer, written, documentation and verbal communication skills
• Must be willing to work day and night shifts, as well as overtime
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset

Responsibilities

• Gather product samples within the manufacturing environment
• Conduct inspection & testing on finished product according to specifications
• Analyze product for characteristics such as moisture, weight, water hydration and particle size and apply all test information into the database
• Initiate, communicate and track all product non-conformances to the specification
• Create and release certificates of analysis for all customers upon request
• Collect retained samples and maintain quality & food safety parameters
• Other duties as assigned
