We are seeking a skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment at our warehouse, as well as customer sites, and over the phone. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a variety of environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality assurance tests at our facility on finished products
  • Maintenance, and repairs on electrical equipment and systems at customer locations.
  • Technical support over the phone and/ or email
  • Diagnose electrical issues using test equipment and schematics.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and travel to customer sites as required.
  • Coordinate with engineering and support teams for complex troubleshooting or system upgrades.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle in good working condition.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a field technician or electrician, preferably in industrial or commercial environments.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems (AC/DC, control panels, wiring, motors, etc.).
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and electrical test equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with batteries (trouble shooting, wiring)
  • Strong understand of AC and DC systems
  • Familiarity with CSA/ UL standards

Working Conditions:

  • Mostly working out of our Burnaby office but travel to customer locations; some overnight stays may be required.
  • Work performed in various environments, including outdoor, industrial, or confined spaces.
  • May involve standing or, lifting (up to 50 lbs)
