Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Toronto, Canada is seeking a Quality Inspector/CMM Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The role emphasizes ensuring production meets high quality standards through precision measurement and reporting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a quality inspector/CMM programmer.
• Hands-on experience programming and operating CMMs (POLYWORKS preferred).
• Strong understanding of GD&T and precision measurement techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and part specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Familiarity with root cause and corrective action methods.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inspection requirements for plant and customer needs with advanced quality and production groups.
• Develop CMM programs to conduct full dimensional part layouts and create reports for PPAP submissions.
• Provide CMM statistical analysis to support problem investigations.
• Create and maintain documentation of inspection results.
• Maintain CMMs in good working condition and perform validation checks.
• Perform inspection using other precision measurement equipment to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections on stamped components.
• Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
• Other tasks as assigned by Quality Manager.

The ideal candidate will have extensive mechanical and quality experiences, as well as CMM programming knowledge. This role is essential in ensuring that our production meets the highest quality standards.

Duties

• Coordinate inspection requirements for plant and customer needs with advanced quality and production groups.
• Develop the required CMM programs to conduct full dimensional part layouts and create appropriate reports for PPAP submissions based off customer/internal requirements.
• Provide CMM statistical analysis to support problem investigations.
• Create and maintain proper documentation of inspection results.
• Maintain CMM in good working condition and perform validation checks frequently.
• Perform inspection using a variety of other precision measurement equipment to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Perform First-article, in-process, and final inspections on stamped components.
• Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
• Other tasks as assigned by Quality Manager.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of previous experience as a Qulaity inspector/CMM programmer, preferably in the manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience programming and operating CMMs (POLYWORKS preferred)
• Strong understanding of GD\&T and precision measurement techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and part specifications.
