Job summary

New Flyer seeks a Quality Manager at its Winnipeg facility to lead the Quality Assurance Department across a two-shift operation. You will ensure the Quality system is understood and executed, drive improvements, and partner with production to deliver defect-free buses.

The role requires a technical bachelor's degree, 4+ years QA experience and 3+ years in management, plus strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills; travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in Quality Assurance and 3 years in management.
• Fortune 500 company or equivalent in low-volume, high-mix industries preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Staff the QA department with trained, high-performing team members.
• Provide guidance, training plans and feedback for areas of improvement.
• Ensure annual Employee Performance Reviews are completed and reviewed with staff.
• Implement and monitor Management by Objectives for each team member.
• Ensure team adheres to safety, regulatory and legal requirements.
• Drive customer satisfaction and align with quality standards.
• Support ISO 9001 and internal audits; participate in problem resolution.
