Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead internal, supplier, and customer audits; drive CAPAs.
  • Establish inspection requirements from incoming materials to shipment.
  • Investigate customer complaints and nonconformances; perform root-cause analysis.
  • Lead Material Review Board and disposition of nonconforming products.
  • Analyze quality trends and drive corrective actions for lasting results.
  • Maintain laboratory capabilities and calibration; manage MSA/GRR.

Are you a manufacturing quality professional ready to take ownership of a plant’s quality program? We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead a QA team, strengthen quality systems, and drive improvements that directly affect product performance and customer satisfaction.

This role offers the opportunity to partner with plant leadership, Engineering, and Operations while shaping quality practices and sharing best practices across multiple plants.

What You’ll Do

Lead and develop the QA team, including hiring, training, performance reviews, compensation reviews, and corrective actions.

Own the plant’s Quality Management System, maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification, and support compliance with applicable CSA, ASTM, Factory Mutual, NSF, and other industry standards.

Lead internal audits, coordinate customer and regulatory audits, and facilitate the plant’s annual Quality Management Review.

Establish product testing and inspection requirements from incoming materials through final shipment, maintaining inspection setups in IQMS and related systems.

Take ownership of customer complaints, supplier quality concerns, and internal and external nonconformances. Lead root-cause investigations, product failure analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.

Lead Material Review Board meetings and oversee the disposition of nonconforming products.

Analyze quality trends and key performance indicators, lead defect-reduction initiatives, and verify that corrective actions deliver lasting results.

Maintain laboratory capabilities, equipment calibration, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR).

Partner with Engineering and Operations on product and process validation, statistical verification, and change control to reduce quality risks.

Coordinate certification sample submissions and prepare material test reports, compliance certificates, and management reports.

Train employees on quality procedures, customer requirements, problem-solving tools, and continuous improvement practices.

Manage QA supplies and services cost-effectively, contribute to plant and company-wide improvement projects, and promote a safe work environment.

What You Bring

A post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field.

At least 5 years of relevant manufacturing and quality experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Previous supervisory or management experience, with the ability to coach employees and hold teams accountable.

Working knowledge and formal training in ISO 9001:2015 and internal auditing.

Experience with quality tools, MSA, Statistical Process Control (SPC), root-cause analysis, Lean, and world-class manufacturing practices.

Working knowledge of applicable industry and product standards.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a practical, data-driven approach to solving problems.

Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.

Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus experience using a fully integrated ERP system.
