PDF is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join the Vancouver team who is ready to play a role in QA efforts for a new software solution. The QA Engineer needs to be organized, detail oriented and a highly motivated team player with strong initiative and communication skills, but who can also work independently. The ability to create and execute software test plans, along with the drive to deliver quality results on time, in a complex, intensive and highly productive environment is also required.

Responsibilities

1. Test planning: define and prepare test environments, write/review test plans, monitor tests execution, report defects and improvements, and follow up with defects/improvements.
2. Execute functional, performance, regression, system, and package testing via automated and manual testing techniques.
3. Support continuous delivery process including interaction with DevOps process.
4. Engage in ongoing communications between QA and development staff, product managers, project managers, application teams and documentation team.
5. Explore and adopt new technologies, techniques, and tools for QA use including leveraging new AI-enabled strategies.
6. Maintain a strong focus on automation of all QA-related activities.
7. Create and maintain various QA-related documentation and status updates.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science/Information Technology or related technical discipline.
2. Must have 3 to 5 years of software QA and testing experience
3. Experience developing and testing software using some of Java, C++, C#, ReactJS, Scala/Spark
4. Experience with full-stack testing and environments (front-end, back-end, services)
5. Experience using automation tools such as Test Complete, Cypress, Selenium, Ranorex, ReadyAPI, etc.
6. Experience with databases like MariaDB
7. Familiar with querying databases using SQL
8. Familiar with defect/feature tracking solutions such as Jira
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
10. Ability to collaborate efficiently with remote teammates in various worldwide locations
11. Strong knowledge and understanding of Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) and different Windows versions (Windows Server 2022, Windows 11, and older versions)
12. Experience working with AWS VM (Virtual Machine)
13. Working in the Semiconductor domain is a plus
14. Self-motivated, results oriented person with a delivery focus
15. A familiarity with remote access applications such as WinSCP (file transfer), MS Remote Desktop Client and VNC (remote desktop), Putty (ssh), etc.

Pay Range: CAD $75,000.00 - CAD $85,000.00 /Yr.
