We are recruiting a Bilingual Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Toronto, Vancouver, or Montreal offices. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in executing test scenarios, developing QA standards, and stakeholder presentations. Proficiency in functional, system, integration, regression, UAT testing, and troubleshooting is required. Our employees benefit from a hybrid work model, with 3 days in-office weekly.

Bilingualism in English and French is essential for testing, validation, and communication within our offices. Candidates must demonstrate effective bilingual communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Support the QA Manager in testing and validating applications to mitigate risks and ensure smooth business operations, including:
• Planning, designing, leading, and executing various test scenarios.
• Coordinating deliverables, resolving issues, and managing dependencies.
• Developing and revising test plans, processes, and procedures.
• Performing diverse testing types to ensure quality and user satisfaction.
• Troubleshooting and analyzing issues, providing support in production environments.
• Delivering testing reports to stakeholders such as IT management and project leads.
• Identifying trends and opportunities for process improvement.

• Assist in developing and operationalizing the QA Centre of Excellence, including:
• Maintaining QA standards and promoting testing best practices.
• Engaging with stakeholders for feedback and continuous improvement.
• Creating knowledge articles and conducting transfer sessions.
• Staying updated on industry trends and advancements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Extensive QA lifecycle experience.
• University degree.
• Minimum 5 years in IT principles, testing methodologies, and test plan execution.
• Experience in professional service organizations is a plus.
• Certifications like CAST or CSQA are assets.
• Bilingual in French and English.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with tracking applications, test automation, remote access tech, and programming languages such as Perl, Java, Python, etc.
