Job summary
Skyservice Business Aviation Inc. is seeking a Fuel Quality Assurance & Compliance professional to oversee QA programs, inspections of fuel operations, and audit readiness.
You will manage fuel inventory, coordinate with suppliers and airport authorities, and ensure documentation and compliance across operations at YYZ and related facilities. Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of business aviation line service and fuel handling experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in training, lead, or supervisory role.
- High school diploma or equivalency is required; Technical college/post-secondary education in aviation, operations, safety, or a related field, preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with fuel handling, quality assurance, and transportation operations.
- Strong understanding of aviation safety standards and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee fuel quality assurance programs and ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Coordinating inspections of fuel trucks, fuel farms (YYZ only), and related equipment.
- Maintain all fuel-related documentation, including inspection records and audit paperwork.
- Serve as primary liaison for internal and external fuel-related audits.
- Establish and maintain standards for site-specific quality assurance inspections and record retention.
- Maintain oversight of technical data, maintenance records, and logbooks for fuel assets.
- Act as a technical liaison with airport authorities, fuel suppliers, and regulators.
- Maintain responsibility for fuel inventory accuracy and 24/7/365 operations.
- Manage Type-IV anti-icing fluid inventory, testing and compliance tracking.
- Oversee maintenance and upkeep of fuel trucks, tank farms, and related equipment.
- Coordinate with external vendors for maintenance and certifications.
- Provide operational and technical expertise on fuel handling procedures and training.
- Lead on-the-job training and develop training materials and competency standards.
- Support onboarding and qualification processes (RAIC, DZ, AVOP).
- Assist in coordinating external training as required.
- Ensure fuel training records are accurate and current.
- Provide coaching to support employee growth and operational excellence.
- Support SMS investigations, reports, and corrective actions.
- Assist in accidents and incident investigations.
- Support talent management and performance assessments in training contexts.
- Monitor compliance with safety and environmental standards and promote safety culture.
- Perform Line Service Attendant or Crew Chief duties as needed.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and operational support.
- Support peak periods and special projects; perform related duties as required.

- Oversee fuel quality assurance programs and ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Conduct and coordinate inspections of fuel trucks, fuel farms (YYZ only), and related equipment in accordance with established schedules and quality standards.
- Complete and maintain all fuel-related documentation, including inspection records, monthly reports, audit documentation, and compliance paperwork.

- Coordinate with external vendors regarding maintenance, repairs, inspections, and certifications of fuel equipment.
- Provide operational and technical expertise related to fuel handling equipment, procedures, and training requirements.
- Recommend improvements to equipment, operational procedures, and safety practices.
- As required, lead on-the-job, hands-on, and operational training programs.
- Assist in developing and maintaining training materials, procedures, and competency standards.
- Support employee onboarding and qualification processes including the coordination of resources (i.e., RAIC, DZ, AVOP).
- Assist in the coordination of external training, as required.
