Job summary

Skyservice Business Aviation in Mississauga invites motivated individuals to join our trainee program focused on NDT methods, with the aim of achieving Level 1/2 certification under the guidance of Level 2/3 experts. You will gain hands-on experience within our maintenance framework and progressive responsibilities.

We seek technically minded candidates with a relevant diploma, a willingness to travel outside the GTA, and the ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• Technical training diploma in NDT preferred.
• Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance/Structures is an asset.
• Quality Assurance training is an asset.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented capabilities.
• Willingness to learn all five NDT methods.
• Ability to work with Radiographic Equipment safely.
• Willingness to travel outside the GTA for work.
• Ability to work at heights and lift limitations.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a trainee program for NDT methods and pursue Level 1/2 certification.
• Gain experience under direct observation of Level 2 or 3 personnel.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by Management.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participating in a trainee program for NDT method (s) and in the process of becoming qualified for certification to Level 1, Level 1 - Limited or directly to Level 2;
• Obtain experience under the direct observation of a Level 2 or Level 3 in the same method;
• Assist in other duties as assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Technical training diploma from a recognized Non-Destructive Testing institute preferred;
• Aircraft Maintenance/ Structures Technical Training Diploma an asset;
• Possess training in Quality Assurance, an asset;
• Possess good analytical skills and be detail-oriented;
• Able to learn all 5 methods of NDT;
• Able to work safely with X-Ray (Radiographic Equipment);
• Able to work 24/7 to be able to attain the required NDT on-the-job training;
• Able to travel outside the GTA to perform work as required;
• Able to work at heights, with no lifting restrictions;
• Possess a valid driver's license and vehicle.
