Job summary

Lyft is seeking a qualitative User Experience Research Intern to join our team, elevating the user experience for drivers and riders across 300+ cities nationwide. You will conduct research studies and collaborate with Design, Product Management, Analytics, and Engineering to derive deep insights and actionable recommendations.

Interns contribute to user-facing products with mentorship from senior researchers, while enjoying a collaborative in-office environment on a hybrid schedule in Toronto.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in HCI, Anthropology, Design, Psychology, or related field from a Canadian university (graduation between Dec 2027 and Summer 2028).
• Available during Summer 2027 for an internship in Toronto.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; detail oriented.
• Experience as a researcher or research coordinator for qualitative studies, usability testing, surveys, field research, or interviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct studies across key Lyft product areas independently and with senior researchers.
• Review, analyze, and communicate qualitative/quantitative data to generate insights and actionable recommendations.
