HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. is seeking a Qualified Electric Worker to join Field Services in Canada. You will install and maintain power transformers, perform high-voltage tests, and support post-commissioning activities on site.

Travel across BC/AB is required; Red Seal or Electrical Technologist credentials are valued, with 3+ years of field experience and strong reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician with Red Seal certification or Electrical Technologist with hands-on transformer experience.
• Minimum 3 years of electrical field service experience with power transformers.
• Valid Canadian driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain power transformers, including bushing replacements and leak repairs.
• Perform electrical testing: power factor, turns ratio, resistance, insulation resistance, SFRA.
• Operate transformer oil processing rigs and service trailers.
• Complete post-commissioning warranty activities and emergency service calls.
• Prepare detailed customer reports and collaborate with teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal procedures.
