We are the embedded experts, offering time-tested foundation software including real-time operating systems, safety-certified products, middleware, and security solutions, all designed for embedded systems.

We offer pre-certified products to ISO 26262 ASIL D, along with a broad range of support services and middleware solutions to help OEMs meet production deadlines.

The BSP Test Team at QNX seeks talented individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality. The tester will contribute to all testing aspects, including writing automation code, designing test suites, executing tests, and maintaining automated test cases. The role involves working with hardware and test labs and is not suitable for remote work. The candidate will participate in verification activities related to releasing QNX BSP and driver updates. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, experienced in testing and automation development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize automated test cases, improving coverage and efficiency.
  • Create new test automation code based on requirements.
  • Debug, analyze test results, generate defect reports, and verify resolutions.
  • Produce detailed test reports.
  • Run tests on new software loads on reference or customer hardware and analyze results.
  • Maintain automation labs and add new hardware to test beds.
  • Create and update test plans and cases based on requirements.
  • Configure, integrate, and test software on reference hardware.
  • Collaborate with other test and development teams.
  • Recreate observed issues for root cause analysis.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Solid experience in test automation development.
  • Proficiency in Python, C, and shell scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux.
  • Experience in writing test plans, executing tests, and reporting results.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality software on time.
  • Familiarity with version control, issue tracking, and CI systems (SVN, Git, JIRA, Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of QNX or other embedded OS is a plus.
  • Ability to write clear problem reports.
  • Creative debugging skills and persistence.
  • Familiarity with processor architectures like Intel and ARM.
  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of test methodologies and automation tools.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for quality and learning new technologies.
