Job summary

PTW Energy Services, Inc. is seeking a QA/QC Electrician to join our team in Prince Rupert, BC.

The role centers on testing and documenting equipment on commercial and industrial projects, with QA/QC responsibilities on site and field inspections performed safely and efficiently. Candidates must be a certified Electrical Journeyperson with at least one year of QAQC experience, capable of reading blueprints, isometrics, and P&IDs, and well-versed in Electrical Code requirements.

Qualifications

  • Must be a certified Electrical Journeyperson (Red Seal Preferred).
  • Minimum of one year QAQC experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints, isometrics, P&IDs, and understand installation details and sequence of construction.
  • Solid understanding of Electrical Code requirements.
  • Proficient with MS Office products.
  • Ability to instruct and monitor work crews efficiently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure QC documentation is completed for turnover package as required by the client.
  • Perform field checks and inspections and ensure QA/QC program aligns with the ITP for the project.
  • Guide Superintendents and construction teams to ensure installations meet codes, standards, and contract specs.
  • Update and complete QA/QC database for turnover to client and PTW headquarters.
  • Ensure red line drawings are completed and filed with document control for field issues.
  • Instruct field QC personnel and generate inspection packages for field crews.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a QAQC Electrician to join our team in Prince Rupert, BC. This role involves testing and documenting equipment on commercial and industrial projects. Candidates should be a certified Electrical Journeyperson and ready to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the QC documentation is completed for PTW's turnover package as required by the client.
  • Perform field checks and inspections as required and directed. Ensure our QA/QC program on site is following the ITP (Inspection Test Plan) as identified for the project.
  • Act as a resource to the Superintendents and the construction teams to ensure that all installations are done according to the applicable codes, standards, building practices and the contract specifications issued by the client and the owner.
  • Update and complete QA/QC database for turnover to the client and PTW corporate offices upon completion of the project.
  • Ensure red line drawings are completed to client specifications and properly filed with document control for field issue.
  • Instruct construction field QC personnel in activities and generate inspection packages for field crews.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Must be a certified Electrical Journeyperson (Red Seal Preferred)
  • Must have a minimum of one year experience in QAQC
  • Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints, isometric drawings, P&ID's, and understand installation details and the sequence of construction.
  • Must have solid understanding of Electrical Code requirements
  • Proficient with computer skills in MS Office products
  • Must have ability to instruct and monitor work crews efficiently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to work safely.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from $51per hour, commensurate with experience and certification
  • Flights and transportation to site provided
  • 14 days on, 7days off
  • 11hour days, (8 regular 3Overtime hours each day)
  • 8 hours paid travel per shift as well as an additional $200
  • Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
