Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: CB Technolog Business Group: Commercial Global Engineering: Oversees changes/implementations to commercial client programs.

Candidate Value Proposition:

• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of Canada’s top 5 banks. Client is also the first bank to have Salesforce and nCino. Lastly, there is an opportunity for extension and conversion to full-time.

Typical Day in Role:

• Develop Test Strategies for project delivery.
• Develop Test scenarios and queries for the In-house developed application, DB level and E2E testing scripts
• Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
• Produce dashboards and reports for sprints or code releases.
• Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
• Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
• Create or maintain databases of known test defects
• Good understanding of testing standards and methodologies

Must-Have Skills:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in QA Testing
• Experience with Salesforce integration
• 3+ years of experience using:
• JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git
• Managing test cases and test plans using JIRA plugins such as Xray or Zephyr

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Talend (version 7 or 8)
• Exposure to nCino (particularly within financial services and automation contexts)
• Ability to write complex SQL queries and perform functional testing
• Salesforce certification
• Previous experience in the financial industry (FI)

Soft Skills Required:

• Excellent communication skills to work with different stakeholders across the organization and Excellent presentation skills with executives
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work independently.
• Solution-oriented

Education & Certificates:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Engineering or a related field

Best vs average:

• Someone who has an understanding of nCino and has worked in financial services.

Candidate Review & Selection Process:

• The interview process consists of two rounds
• First Round Interview:
o Participants: Hiring Manager, QA Lead, and ETL Developer
o Format: 1-hour video call via Microsoft Teams
o Focus: Discussion of the candidate’s work experience and technical background
• Second Round Interview:
o Participants: Hiring Manager and Vice President
o Format: 30-minute video call via Microsoft Teams
o Focus: Evaluation of professional experience, behavioral competencies, communication, and presentation skills
