Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Canada seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to establish and lead their Quality Department. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in food manufacturing quality assurance and a strong technical background in Quality Management Systems including HACCP and GMP. Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality assurance within food manufacturing or packaging.
• Strong technical knowledge of Quality Management Systems, HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and develop teams while collaborating across departments.
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing certification processes and external audits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the full Quality Management System, including policies, procedures, and standards.
• Lead all certification programs, including SQF, ISO 14001, HACCP, GMP, and Ecovadis.
• Oversee internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance for food safety and quality standards.
• Build, train, and mentor a quality-driven team with a strong culture of accountability and excellence.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to embed quality practices into daily operations.
