This contract role requires a dedicated professional who is willing to work extended hours when necessary and is committed to reporting high-quality bugs. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the excellence and reliability of our web-based software products.

Key Responsibilities:

4. Regression Testing: Perform exhaustive regression testing to ensure that software updates and enhancements do not introduce new issues or compromise existing functionality.

5. Exploratory Testing: Apply your extensive experience to perform exploratory testing, seeking out hidden issues and usability challenges that may not be covered by predefined test cases.

6. Extended Hours Testing: Be prepared to work extended hours during critical project phases or when addressing time-sensitive issues that impact software quality.

7. Bug Reporting: Report identified defects with exceptional detail, including steps to reproduce, expected behavior, and severity, using JIRA or other designated bug tracking systems.

8. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication of testing progress and issues.

9. Quality Assurance Standards: Help establish and enforce quality assurance best practices and standards within the organization.

10. Test Environment Setup: Configure and maintain test environments that closely replicate production conditions for testing purposes.

11. Test Reporting: Generate comprehensive test summary reports, including test coverage, defect status, and recommendations for improvement, and share them with relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing, with a strong focus on web applications.

- Proficiency in using JIRA for test case management and bug tracking.

- In-depth knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in testing and bug reporting.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, especially during extended hours testing.

- Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development life cycles (SDLC) is advantageous.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
