We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer candidate play crucial role in developing robust test automation frameworks, integrating DevOps practices, and enhancing our software delivery pipeline.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Montreal is CAD $70k – CAD $75k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Develop, configure, and maintain test automation tools and frameworks to support quality assurance activities.
• Lead the onboarding and implementation of DevOps practices within the software delivery lifecycle.
• Design, implement, and optimize test automation solutions with a focus on CI/CD pipelines.
• Update and expand existing automation suites to improve test coverage and efficiency, utilizing Java and Python.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and business teams to research, develop, and deploy new tools and methodologies to boost productivity and quality.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or DevOps engineer.
• Deep expertise in automation tools and practices, including TDD, BDD (JBehave, Cucumber, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with distributed programming languages such as Java and Python.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, schema concepts, and SQL querying.
• Experience with build tools like Gradle or Maven.
• Proficiency with source control systems such as Git or VSS.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a professional approach to teamwork.

Preferred, but not required:

• Ability to quickly learn new application architectures and toolsets with minimal supervision.
• Experience with continuous integration platforms like Jenkins and TeamCity.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
