Job summary

Bodycote in Vernon is seeking a hands‑on professional to support the Quality Manager with calibration surveys and instrumentation under limited supervision.

You will complete temperature surveys, manage inventory of calibration supplies, and perform system accuracy checks while following the Quality Manual. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and careful handling of customer equipment.

Qualifications

• Education – High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year experience in thermal processing, metallurgy, customer specifications, maintenance, etc.
• Blueprint reading required.
• Must possess strong verbal communication skills, professional and patient style in dealing with customers and staff.
• Must be precise and detail oriented.
• May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends
• Must have knowledge by experience or training of basic math.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
• Knowledge and hands on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists Quality Manager calibration recall system.
• Completes temperature uniformity survey documentation and review.
• Inventory of consumable maintenance supplies pertaining to calibration and inspection.
• Performs system accuracy checks under direction of Quality Manager.
• Reads and understands Quality Manual and related procedures.
• Brings any irregularities, discrepancies or concerns to supervisor immediately.
• Promotes safety and good housekeeping.
• Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• Care and treatment of customer inventory, performed safely to prevent loss or damage.
• Must report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, and accepting feedback.
