Job summary

CoolIT Systems, an Ecolab Company based in Calgary, Canada, seeks a mid- to senior-level Calibration Technician to lead calibration activities and maintain measurement equipment across the organization.

You will develop procedures, manage schedules and records, and mentor junior technicians while coordinating with manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure compliance and traceability in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in mechanical/electronic tech or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years in calibration/metrology, instrumentation, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with calibration equipment and procedures.
• Ability to read technical specs, procedures, drawings, and manuals.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and traceability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate calibration activities across the organization.
• Perform hands-on calibration, verification, and testing of measurement equipment.
• Develop and standardize calibration procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain calibration schedules, records, certificates, and traceability.
• Manage calibration software and keep equipment data up to date.
• Schedule external calibration services and review certificates for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify out-of-tolerance equipment and assist with corrective actions.
• Support audits related to calibration and metrology.
