Support and demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors.Maintain a balance between customer, employee, and financial satisfaction by maximizing performance indicators aligned with Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy.Support and maintain departmental lean initiatives as per LPS system requirements.Review purchase orders for accuracy, compare with vendor quotes, and distribute accordingly.Check requisitions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance; create purchase orders from requisitions.Maintain records of contracts and purchase orders.Coordinate with logistics to ensure proper shipment delivery.Evaluate letter of credit documents and collaborate with accounting for financial obligations.Monitor purchasing metrics and supplier diversity spend.Perform departmental operations as needed to maintain workflow or respond to emergencies.Negotiate volume pricing to maximize profit and minimize fees.Ensure alternative supply sources for critical items to minimize risk.Analyze monthly forecasts to maintain optimal inventory levels.Support sourcing and cost reduction activities, develop supplier alliances, and implement process improvements.Act as liaison between vendors and internal requestors when needed.Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.Analyze sales data to identify seasonal variations, calculate inventory metrics, and diagnose purchasing issues.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and communicate technical information.Strong communication skills to interact with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.Evaluate product and service quality, and assess benefits and drawbacks of products.Proficiency in reading various data forms and obtaining detailed product and supplier information.Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with experience in forecasting and inventory management.Proficiency in computer applications, spreadsheets, and automated systems.Commitment to continuous learning about products, market trends, and new systems.Desired Characteristics
