CareerBeacon is seeking a Purchasing & Material Administrator to manage parts procurement and inventory for the Simulation Product Group, supporting a growing team building state‑of‑the‑art aircraft and vehicle simulators. This role reports to the Director, Manufacturing & Assembly.

Responsibilities include supplier research, issuing RFQs and POs, coordinating inbound and outbound shipping, and maintaining inventory controls to meet back‑log and front‑log needs.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year in purchasing, inventory management, logistics, or related admin role.
  • Experience using an ERP system is an asset.
  • Ability to obtain Government of Canada Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research parts and services suppliers.
  • Create RFQs and purchase orders in corporate software.
  • Communicate with suppliers during quoting, purchasing and fulfillment.
  • Receive and inspect parts using corporate software.
  • Manage inventory cage and shelves.
  • Ensure sufficient parts for back-log and front-log needs.
  • Pick parts for assembly and integration teams.
  • Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipping for the product group.
  • Process invoices and expense reports related to procurements.
  • Perform monthly inventory and open PO checks.
  • Participate in weekly team planning meetings.

Job description

The Purchasing & Material Administrator is responsible for the purchasing of parts and general materiel/inventory management for the Simulation Product Group. In this role, you will be supporting a growing team to build state-of-the‑art aircraft and vehicle simulators. This position reports to the Director, Manufacturing & Assembly.

Qualifications
  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing, inventory management, logistics, manufacturing, or a related administrative role.
  • Experience using an ERP system is an asset.
  • Experience with inventory control and procurement processes is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain a Government of Canada Security Clearance
Responsibilities
