Job summary

Vuteq Canada Inc. in Woodstock, Ontario seeks a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. The role focuses on keeping purchasing documentation up to date and supporting cost-control activities.

Responsibilities include data analysis, RFQ management, supplier communication, and total cost analysis to aid sourcing decisions. The position offers growth within a stable company with extensive training and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Post secondary in Supply Chain Management or equivalent is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare data charts/graphs; enter data into systems as needed.
• Document management: create/update VTCA purchasing documents.
• Support VTCA team and Purchasing Coordinator activities.
• Assist RFQ processes: create RFQs, send to suppliers, compare quotes, provide feedback.
• Conduct total cost analysis and supplier development activities.
• Coordinate internal/external communications with departments and suppliers.
• Interpret customer specs and review drawings (internal/external).

This is a new position for a Purchasing Coordinatorto join our team!

Job Description

The Purchasing Coordinator will be a key member of the team and will work directly with the Purchasing tea, to ensure all required documentation, forms, etc. are up to date and maintained. The coordinator will also be responsible for supporting cost control activities.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000/yr

Position Description

• Prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into computer for analysis, as needed
• Document management: create and update VTCA purchasing documents
• Responsible to support the VTCA team and Purchasing Coordinator activities as required
• Support on the Request for quote (RFQ) activities: Create RFQs, send to suppliers for pricing, compare returned RFQs from different suppliers, provide feedback to suppliers
• Total cost analysis
• Supplier development: Includes researching new suppliers, participating in supplier meetings, cost reduction ideas, site-visits
• Support communication internally with other departments and externally with suppliers
• Must be able to understand the required specifications from the customers, review drawings (internal and external)

Qualifications

Education

• Successful completion of post secondary in Supply Chain Managerment or equivalent is an asset.

Experience

• Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
