Job Description

As a member of the Support Services team, you will facilitate the efficient procurement process for food and supply orders for the Clinical Nutrition & Food Services departments and Environmental Services departments at all sites. You will work with the Managers at each of the sites to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained and available. The Purchasing Coordinator will work with our key manufacturer and distributor partners and internal Finance partners to ensure procurement processes are maintained. You will be responsible for managing the Computrtition database as it relates to inventory management, food order management and recipe and menu management.

Qualifications
  • Food & Nutrition Management Diploma or equivalent, required
  • CSNM Membership Required
  • Food Handler’s Certification (Public Health) and/or Serv Safe Food Safety Training required
  • 3-5 years experience in a healthcare setting required
  • Previous experience with Food Services software required (Computrition, CBORD, etc)
  • Knowledge of WHMIS, Food Safety Standards, Food Premises Act
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, conflict resolution and advocacy
  • Must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize and organize multiple tasks
  • Demonstrates commitment to on-going learning and able to learn new tasks quickly
  • Self motivated, work independently and integrate well as a member of a variety of teams
  • Flexible and enjoy working in a fast paced environment
Additional Information

This role is onsite- based out of the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH)with expected travel to the other 2 Hospitals - Georgetown and Milton

Hours:Monday to Friday, days, 7.5 hour shifts (Hours subject to change based on operational requirements)

Salary: $32.70 to $40.92 per hour
