Job description

As a member of the Support Services team, you will facilitate the efficient procurement process for food and supply orders for the Clinical Nutrition & Food Services departments and Environmental Services departments at all sites. You will work with the Managers at each site to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained and available. The Purchasing Coordinator will collaborate with key manufacturer and distributor partners and internal Finance teams to ensure procurement processes are followed. You will also manage the Computrition database related to inventory management, food order management, and recipe and menu management.

Qualifications :

  • Food & Nutrition Management Diploma or equivalent required
  • CSNM Membership required
  • Food Handlers Certification (Public Health) and/or ServSafe Food Safety Training required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting required
  • Previous experience with Food Services software required (Computrition, CBORD, etc.)
  • Knowledge of WHMIS, Food Safety Standards, Food Premises Act
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, and advocacy skills
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks effectively
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and quick adaptability to new tasks
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of various teams
  • Flexible and capable of working in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information :

This role is onsite at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) with expected travel to Georgetown and Milton Hospitals.

Hours : Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour days (hours may vary based on operational needs)

Salary : $32.70 to $40.92 per hour
