Job summary

Professional Excavators & Construction Inc. in Calgary seeks a Pup & Truck Driver to transport materials and equipment safely, perform inspections, and maintain logs. You will coordinate with project managers to meet delivery schedules.

The role requires a Class 1 or 3 license, a clean driving record, knowledge of regulations, and the ability to lift heavy loads while supporting a fast-paced construction site.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a truck driver, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of transportation rules and regulations.
• Ability to operate a Pup & Truck vehicle effectively.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate Pup & Truck vehicles to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Adhere to all transportation regulations and safety practices while operating the vehicle.
• Complete daily logs and paperwork such as delivery tickets, and safety reports accurately.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed while adhering to weight and safety limits.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and job requirements.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and other team members to ensure efficient operations.
