Job summary

KLS Earthworks & Environmental is seeking an experienced Gravel Truck Driver to safely haul gravel, soil, and aggregates across Calgary and surrounding areas. Join a family-rooted company focused on safety and operational excellence with a modern fleet.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 Alberta license with a clean/acceptable driving record.
• Previous gravel/dump truck hauling experience preferred.
• Experience operating tandem, truck & pup and/or quad configurations is an asset.
• Strong understanding of safe loading, hauling, and dumping procedures.
• Willing to work extended hours during peak construction season.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate gravel trucks to haul aggregates, soil, and other construction materials.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain required documentation.
• Load and unload materials safely at pits, jobsites, and disposal locations.
• Follow designated haul routes and site-specific traffic plans.
• Maintain accurate load tickets, timesheets, and other required paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, equipment operators, and site personnel.
• Monitor truck condition and report maintenance or mechanical concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck.
• Follow safety policies and applicable transportation regulations.
• Work safely around heavy equipment and active construction sites.

KLS Earthworks is seeking an experienced and dependable Gravel Truck Driver. As a Gravel Truck Driver, you’ll be responsible for safely hauling gravel, soil, aggregates, and other materials to and from construction sites throughout Calgary and the surrounding area. We’re looking for drivers who take pride in their equipment, understand the demands of construction hauling, and can work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate gravel trucks to haul aggregates, soil, and other construction materials.

• Assist with other duties as required to support field operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 Alberta Driver’s License with a clean/acceptable driver’s abstract.
• Previous gravel truck, dump truck, or construction hauling experience preferred.
• Experience operating tandem, truck & pup and/or quad configurations is an asset.
• Strong understanding of safe loading, hauling, and dumping procedures.
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment and on active civil construction sites.
• Able to work extended hours during peak construction season.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong communication skills and a safety-first attitude.
• Ability to perform basic inspections and identify potential equipment issues.
