The role supports earthworks, grading, and excavation while upholding safety and quality standards on sites around Calgary and Alberta. Applicants should have 3+ years of experience with excavators, loaders, dozers, and grading machinery, with a strong emphasis on safety and the ability to read plans and blueprints.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
  • Experience operating excavators, loaders, dozers, or grading machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for equipment operation.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and instructions.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varied conditions.
  • Willingness to travel within Calgary as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, and grading machinery to complete construction tasks.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment daily to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and job specifications to carry out work accurately.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other crew members to maintain workflow and meet project deadlines.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Assist with equipment transport, site cleanup, and other duties as assigned.

Professional Excavators & Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to operate various heavy construction equipment on diverse projects. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for efficiently handling equipment to support earthworks, grading, excavation, and other construction activities while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, and grading machinery to complete construction tasks.
