Job summary

Autism Services in Melville, Saskatchewan is seeking a full-time labourer under CUPE Local 456. The role involves routine physical work, including setting up and pouring curb and gutter, laying asphalt, and assisting with water and sewer mains.

Applicants must have Grade 12, a Saskatchewan Class 5 driver’s license, and the ability to read and write. Training in First Aid/CPR, confined space entry, H2S Alive, Ground disturbance and Fall Protection is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Saskatchewan class 5 driver's license.
• Must have or be able to obtain training in First aid CPR, confined space entry, H2S Alive, Ground disturbance and Fall Protection.
• Applicant must have a clean criminal record check. Previous roadway construction and experience of installation of water and sewer lines as well as 3A license is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ordinary labour duties of a routine physical nature.
• Assist in setting up and pouring curb and gutter; lay asphalt.
• Assist in laying and tapping water and sewer mains; weed and grass control.
• Other duties assigned as required.

Description:

Ordinary labour duty of a routine physical nature, duties may include but not limited to assisting in setting up and pouring curb and gutter, laying asphalt, assist in laying and tapping water and sewer mains, weed and grass control and all other duties assigned. An employee in this class shall be able to read and write and make up his or her own time sheet. Individual must be able to drive standard transmission.
