Qualifications

  • University graduation in Business, Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Management or related field with 3 years of related experience.
  • Alternate path: 2-year diploma plus 5 years directly related experience.
  • Accounting designation with 1-year additional related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of ministry financial systems and processes described in the role.
  • Provide ongoing advice and support to processing staff on payment functions.
  • Provide guidance and training to processing staff and Expenditure Officers on financial processes.
  • Communicate changes in legislation, policies, and procedures and train staff as needed.
  • Conduct compliance reviews of financial transactions and reporting.
  • Apply the Common Compliance Reporting Framework for standardized reporting.
  • Review financial information to support public financial reporting and disclosures.
