Job summary

City of Toronto’s Public Health division is seeking a Program Evaluator to join the Evaluation and Quality Improvement team. You will collaborate across disciplines to plan, evaluate, and improve public health programs, developing logic models and assessment tools.

Responsibilities include designing evaluation strategies, conducting analyses, and preparing reports for management and external stakeholders. A Master’s degree and relevant evaluation experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Health Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, Health Administration or an equivalent combination.
  • Considerable experience with evaluability assessments and process and outcome evaluations.
  • Experience as an evaluator in public health or similar setting.
  • Experience with microcomputer systems, database management and data analysis tools.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with program staff and management in planning and evaluating programs.
  • Develops and reviews program logic models.
  • Analyzes needs and develops assessment tools.
  • Designs evaluation strategies and implements them with internal/external groups.
  • Prepares evaluation reports for management, Board of Health, and external bodies.
