Job summary

Huron Perth Public Health is seeking a temporary part-time Public Health Nurse to join the Healthy Babies Healthy Children/Anabaptist team based in Clinton. The 0.8 FTE position runs from January 1, 2027, to June 30, 2027, and is based at the Clinton office.

Work involves community health promotion, home visiting, and collaboration with families, with hours typically 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with possible evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered nursing with eligible for Ontario licensure.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required.
• Experience in public health or home visiting is an asset.

Summary:

We have an existing vacancy for a temporary part-time 56 hours per 2 week pay period (0.8 FTE) PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE starting on January 1, 2027 and ending June 30, 2027. This position will work as part of the Healthy Babies Healthy Children/Anabaptist team. The position will be based from our Clinton office.

Education:

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing

Skills:

• NCAST Certification (Feeding and Teaching)

• experience working with the Anabaptist population (Amish, Old Order Mennonite, LGS)
• strong ability to prioritize competing pressures
• ability to respond to unexpected circumstances

• Successful candidates must obtain and maintain a satisfactory vulnerable sector check
• immunizations in accordance with Board Policy/Collective Agreements including annual influenza and COVID-19 immunizations unless medically contraindicated
• Successful candidates must possess and maintain a valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and access to a safe and well-maintained vehicle suitable for carrying out duties on behalf of the employer

Hours:
