Job summary

Huron Perth Public Health in Clinton is seeking a temporary part-time Public Health Nurse (0.8 FTE) to join the Healthy Babies Healthy Children/Anabaptist team. The role is based in Clinton and runs from January 1, 2027 to June 30, 2027.

The successful candidate will provide nursing services, support immunizations and outreach, and participate in family home visiting with flexible weekday hours and potential evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Proficient computer skills and internet use
• Experience with establishing and maintaining therapeutic relationships
• Infant feeding knowledge is an asset
• HBHC home visiting experience is an asset
• NCAST Certification (Feeding and Teaching)
• Experience with CDIS (ISCIS) and Accuro/EMR
• Experience with Anabaptist populations (Amish, Old Order Mennonite, LGS)
• Strong prioritization under pressure

Summary:

We have an existing vacancy for a temporary part-time 56 hours per 2 week pay period (0.8 FTE) PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE starting on January 1, 2027 and ending June 30, 2027. This position will work as part of the Healthy Babies Healthy Children/Anabaptist team. The position will be based from our Clinton office.

Education:

Hours:

Usually 8:30 am – 4:30 pm; Monday to Friday (flexible may include evenings and weekends)
