Job summary

The City of London is seeking a Government and External Relations Coordinator to support federal, provincial, and Indigenous partnerships as part of the Corporation's strategic priorities.

You will provide strategic advice on government policy, funding applications, and legislative consultations, building productive relationships with municipal associations and external groups, and representing the City as needed.

Qualifications

  • University honours degree in Political Science, Public Administration or related field.
  • Minimum five years of government relations or related experience.
  • Class G Driver's Licence.
  • Strong communication, analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to engage diverse populations and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate intergovernmental partnership opportunities.
  • Advise on government policy, funding applications and consultations.
  • Develop relationships with AMO, FCM, and OBCM.
  • Prepare correspondence, briefing notes, submissions and presentations.
  • Represent the City of London at summits and conferences when needed.
