As a Psychometrist with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will:

  1. Receive work direction from a Psychologist and conduct standardized neuropsychological/psychometric tests to assess cognitive functioning, education level, learning difficulties, personality, quality of life, and vocational interests.
  2. Provide psychologists with written and/or verbal summaries of test results, client performance, and behavior to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
  • Two years' direct neuropsychological/psychometric testing experience with various clinical populations or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Eligibility for certification with the Board of Certified Psychometrists.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of psychology assessment and treatment methods and tools.
  • Ability to accurately administer and score standardized tests.
  • Understanding of the Board of Certified Psychometrists' Code of Ethics and standards.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues, clients, and families.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, provide consultation, teach, supervise, and handle conflict situations.
