Job summary

Fraser Health seeks a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join the interprofessional care team and provide person-centered, recovery-oriented psychiatric nursing services to patients in BC.

As a key member of the nursing staff, you will perform assessments, crisis intervention, education for patients and families, and health promotion, while participating in quality improvement and staff mentorship.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with BCCNM.
• May require completion of substance use certificate program.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care of assigned patients.
• Actively participate in and support the total therapeutic program of the Unit.
• Use observations, communication and assessments to provide appropriate nursing care.
• Write timely and accurate reports of assessments and observations including patient education.
