Job summary

Nurse Next Door- Halton and Guelph is seeking dedicated caregivers to provide compassionate, one-on-one care for seniors in the Oakville area. You’ll help with meals, light housekeeping, companionship, and adherence to individualized care plans.

This role emphasizes flexibility, ongoing onboarding and training, and opportunities for career growth. Prior dementia care experience is considered an asset, with 24/7 support available to staff.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or completed a recognized caregiver education program.
• Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray (within the past 2 years)
• Two professional references

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping
• Provide companionship and personal care
• Follow and execute the client’s care plan as designed by the Care Designer
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) within scope of practice
• Support safe transfers, ambulation, and prescribed exercises
• Ensure client safety and proper use of equipment
• Work within your training, experience, and scope of practice
• Complete accurate and thorough documentation
• Experience supporting clients with dementia and responsive behaviors is an asset
