Qualifications:

• PSW certification or diploma
• First Aid and CPR Level C certification
• Police Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 1 year)
• Up-to-date TB test and immunizations
• Strong time management, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Excellent communication skills and ability to foster relationships with healthcare staff and clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High energy, focused, and interested in continuous learning

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care to clients with compassion, integrity, and quality
• Support clients in activities of daily living, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry
• Assist clients with safe ambulation and transfers
• Perform delegated tasks as required
• Promote client independence
• Provide psychological and emotional support
• Communicate clearly and timely with clients, families, and stakeholders
• Maintain a safe environment for clients and staff

Work Conditions:

• Travel within the community or facility required
• Long hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for extended periods
• Lifting, pushing, turning
• Repetitive movements
