Qualifications:

1. PSW certification or diploma is required
2. First Aid and CPR Level C Certification
3. Police Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 1 year)
4. Up-to-date TB tests and immunizations
5. Strong time management skills, confidentiality, and professionalism
6. Excellent communication skills, able to foster relationships with healthcare staff and clients
7. Ability to work independently and effectively within a team
8. Interest in continuous learning, high energy, and focus

Responsibilities:

1. Provide compassionate, high-quality personal care
2. Support clients in activities of daily living, including meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, etc.
3. Assist clients with ambulation and transfers safely
4. Perform delegated tasks as required
5. Promote client independence
6. Offer psychological and emotional support
7. Communicate clearly and promptly with clients, families, and stakeholders
8. Maintain a safe environment for clients and workers

Work Conditions:

1. Travel within the community or facility required
2. Long hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary

Physical Requirements:

1. Standing for extended periods
2. Lifting, pushing, turning
3. Repetitive movements
