Senior Helpers is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker to help clients live safely and independently at home across Ontario. You will engage with clients, support daily living activities, and assist with meals and light housekeeping while documenting care activities.

A driver’s license and background check are required. We value compassionate care, clear communication, flexibility in scheduling, and teamwork.

Qualifikationen

• Provides compassionate care and support to clients.
• Clear and client-centred communication with clients and families.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Requires a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance.
• We require a current vulnerable sector check and a clean background check.
• Experience in home care or PSW role is an asset; newcomers welcomed.

What to Expect in Your Day-to-Day

As a Personal Support Worker, your work will include:

• Engaging in meaningful conversation and building genuine relationships with clients
• Assisting clients with daily living activities: mobility support, dressing, bathing, and personal hygiene
• Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding or meal routines as needed
• Helping with light housekeeping tasks and supporting clients to maintain a comfortable home environment
• Observing and reporting on changes in clients’ physical, mental and behavioural health; completing documentation of care activities

Qualifications We’re Looking For

To be considered, you should have:

• A genuine passion for providing care and support to others
• Excellent communication skills and a client-centred mindset
• Availability to work non-traditional hours, such as early morning, evenings, and alternate weekends
• A valid driver’s license (G or G2 Classification), access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance
• To protect our patients, we require current vulnerable sector check screening, a clear background check
• Previous experience in home care or a PSW role is an asset (though we welcome motivated newcomers)
