Job summary

S&R Seniors Living is seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or Health Care Aide to join our residents' home. You will assist with activities of daily living and provide companionship in a warm, respectful environment.

You will support care teams with routine tasks, keep resident areas clean, and communicate updates to the care team. This role focuses on compassionate, resident-centered care and requires a recent VSS check.

Qualifications

• PSW or Health Care Aide certification is required.
• VSS check completed within the past 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Residents with activities of daily living
• Providing companionship to Residents
• Completing Point-of-Care tasks for each Resident
• Helping keep the Resident’s area clean and clutter free
• Communicating Resident updates to the care team
• Supporting Team Members during themed days
• Help a Resident come down during mealtime and provide support
• Support your team as needed

Education

• Assisted your Residents with activities of daily living
• Spending time and providing companionship to the Residents
• Completing your Point-of-Care tasks specific to each Resident you are supporting
• Helping keeping the Resident’s area clean and clutter free
• Communicating a Resident update to your care team
• Supporting Team Members in the home during a themed day
• Help a Resident come down during mealtime and provide them any support needed through the meal
• And supported your team as needed.

Qualifications

To be hired into this role, you must have:

• Personal Support Worker (PSW) or Health Care Aide (HCA) Certification
• Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months
